Dominican Red Honey Direct Trade

We have once again teamed up with Coffee Hunter Project to bring you this fantastic experience from our friends at the Ramirez Estate from the Dominican Republic. We have been working in collaboration to create this sweet red honey process coffee. The coffee is grown at 1400 MASL. Only the ripest Red Cattura beans get selected for this coffee; with bright, fruity notes of strawberry and caramel, this select coffee sweet without being too acidic and has a nice smooth finish.

The Ramirez family is extraordinarily socially conscious. They use the fermented coffee cherries to create natural gas, which powers their operation. They also donate books and computers to the local schools, and in a more rural area, they built and funded a new school, preventing small children from having to walk over 15 km each way to class.

We pay roughly 300% higher wages to the Ramirez Estate for their exceptional care of the environment, organic certification, respect for local Haitian immigrants, and high cupping scores.
