Turin TrekBrew Portable Espresso Machine
The Turin TrekBrew is a battery-powered portable espresso machine for travel, camping, RVs, hotel rooms and compact coffee setups. Unlike small capsule-style travel brewers, it uses a full 51mm precision basket with an 18–20 gram dose, giving you a familiar espresso-preparation workflow in a compact format.
Use room-temperature water when you need a self-contained brewing setup, or add preheated water to conserve battery power and brew many more shots per charge. A 10-second pre-infusion helps wet the coffee bed before extraction, while the included tamper, dosing funnel, WDT tool and collapsible stand make the TrekBrew ready for a proper ground-coffee workflow.
Why Choose the TrekBrew?
- Portable espresso with built-in heating: Heats room-temperature water in approximately 3–4 minutes.
- Full-size coffee dose: The 51mm precision basket holds approximately 18–20 grams of ground coffee.
- High-capacity battery: The 7500mAh battery supports approximately four shots when heating room-temperature water, or up to approximately 200 extractions when using preheated water, based on manufacturer estimates.
- USB-C charging: Recharge with the included USB-C cable; a wall adapter is not included.
- Espresso puck preparation tools included: The package includes a matching tamper, dosing funnel and compact WDT tool.
- Compact travel stand: The included three-piece stand supports the brewer over your cup and collapses for storage.

How to Brew Espresso with the TrekBrew
- Grind approximately 18–20g of coffee at an espresso-fine setting.
- Place the dosing funnel on the 51mm basket, add the grounds and distribute them with the included WDT tool.
- Remove the funnel and tamp the coffee evenly with the included 51mm palm tamper.
- Lock the prepared basket into the TrekBrew and place the brewer on its assembled stand above a sturdy cup.
- Add room-temperature or preheated water, then start the brewing cycle.
- After brewing, allow hot components to cool, remove the coffee puck and rinse the removable brewing parts.
Espresso grind size strongly affects flow. If the shot runs too quickly, grind finer; if flow stalls or becomes extremely slow, grind coarser.

Build a Complete Portable Espresso Setup
Pair the TrekBrew with the Turin TrekGrind portable electric grinder for a compact battery-powered system. Prefer a manual grinder? The Turin H40 V2 hand grinder offers an electricity-free grinding option. A Turin Mini Espresso Scale helps measure coffee dose and beverage yield, while the TurinTrek carrying case keeps the machine, grinder and tools together.
A replacement TrekBrew stand is also available separately if you need an additional stand.
TrekBrew Setup Comparison
| Setup | Best suited for | Tradeoff |

| TrekBrew with preground coffee | The lightest and simplest travel setup | Less control and freshness than grinding immediately before brewing |
| TrekBrew + TrekGrind | Compact, all-electric travel espresso | Both devices need charging |

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the TrekGrind grinder included?
No. This product listing is for the TrekBrew espresso machine and its listed brewing accessories. The TrekGrind grinder is sold separately.
Is the collapsible stand included?
Yes. The current TrekBrew package includes a collapsible three-piece stand. The separately listed stand is available as a replacement or additional stand.
Does the TrekBrew heat cold water?
Yes. It can heat room-temperature water for brewing in approximately 3–4 minutes.
Can I use preheated water?
Yes. Preheated water greatly reduces battery demand and is the best option when you have access to a kettle or other safe hot-water source.
How many shots can it make on one charge?
The manufacturer estimates approximately four shots when the machine heats room-temperature water, or up to approximately 200 extractions when supplied with preheated water. Actual results vary.
What size basket does the TrekBrew use?
It uses a 51mm precision basket designed for approximately 18–20g of ground coffee.
Does it use ground coffee or capsules?
The TrekBrew is designed around its included 51mm basket and ground coffee. No capsule or pod adapter is included with this listing.
Do I need an espresso grinder?
For the best results, yes. Espresso requires fine, consistent grinding and small adjustments to control shot flow. You can also use suitably ground coffee prepared shortly before travel.
What does “up to 20 bar” mean?
It is the maximum capability of the vibratory pump. It does not mean every shot should extract at 20 bar; grind size, dose, puck preparation and coffee freshness determine resistance and flow.
Does it have pre-infusion?
Yes. The brewing cycle includes a 10-second pre-infusion to wet the coffee bed before extraction.
How is the TrekBrew charged?
It charges through USB-C. A USB-C cable is included, but the wall adapter is sold separately.
Can I use a standard 51mm tamper?
The package already includes a matching 51mm palm tamper. Other 51mm accessories may fit, but tolerances can differ by manufacturer.
Do I need a coffee scale?
A scale is not required to operate the machine, but weighing the coffee dose and espresso yield makes recipes much easier to repeat. The compact Turin Mini Espresso Scale is a travel-friendly option.
How do I clean the TrekBrew?
After each shot, let hot parts cool, discard the puck and rinse the removable basket and brewing components. Wipe the powered body with a damp cloth and keep its electrical components and charging port dry.
Is the carrying case included?
No. The fitted TurinTrek carrying case is an optional accessory sold separately.
How much does the TrekBrew weigh?
The espresso machine weighs approximately 704g. For reference, the separate TrekGrind weighs approximately 475g, the stand 120g, and the empty carrying case 350g.
Is the TrekBrew good for camping and RV travel?
Yes. Its battery, built-in water heating, compact stand and USB-C charging make it well suited to travel. Use preheated water whenever available to extend battery life.
What should I do if my shot runs too fast or too slowly?
For a fast, watery shot, grind finer. If the machine struggles or the shot barely flows, grind coarser. Keep dose and tamping consistent while changing one variable at a time.
